Frostbite Rally to West Cowes 2024
Join us for the first rally of the season and re-acquaint yourself with club members. The photo above was taken during at The Frostbite Rally in 2018: it certainly lived up to its name that year! We all awoke to a covering of snow on our decks so of course we had to create a new crew-member! It's not always that cold of course and it's great to say hello again to our fellow members.
We will be berthing at Shepards Marina in West Cowes and you should look carefully at their website to see details of their booking method and cancellation policy. Some rafting of boats is to be expected.
We will be dining at The Island Sailing Club for our evening meal on the Saturday. If the weather allows we'll have a brief pontoon party before heading over to ISC for 7.00 pm.
When approaching Shepards Marina please call them up on Channel 80 to obtain your berthing instructions.
A lead boat will be available to help and advise. We will be using VHF Channel 77 as an inter-club frequency for the weekend although monitoring on Ch11 (Portsmouth Harbour), Ch 12 (Southampton VTS) and Cowes Harbour Ch 69 as appropriate together with Channel 16 is advised.
