Members Talks Evening (11th October 2024)
An audience of eighteen gathered in The Hornet Services Sailing Club for a meal and an evening of tales told by HYC members. Officially we had four speakers but their four spouses contributed throughout the presentations, as did members of the audience. End of Season Rally Oct. 5-6 Cowes and E Cowes.
In some form of cronkylogical order; The season's finale began, as usual with the hard work done by Jem Nicholls, who, sadly was unable to attend himself. Gins Farm, Beaulieu Rally 11th - 13th September, 2024
Wednesday 11th September In the morning we had sunshine, which was a delight after a number of cloudy and showery days. Misty Moon left Haslar at 9am and encountered a moderate sea and winds gusting above 24 knots just after Gilkicker. We had decided it was too gusty to sail and ended up motoring the whole way. Folly Dinghy Dash to Newport Rally (20 - 22 Aug 2024)
This rally was always going to form part of Nemo's annual holiday on the Solent. We had a lovely sail to Yarmouth on Monday with an enjoyable evening in the town.
