"Portsmouth International Port" talk by Ben McInnes, Harbour Master

Join us at Hornet Services Sailing Club for another great evening talk this time with Ben McInnes, Harbour Master, and Marine Pilot at Portsmouth International Port.  

Portsmouth International Port is a major UK port, responsible for handling millions of customers and vital cargo across the globe. Come along and hear about the challenges and opportunities as the port looks towards the next 20 years. Hear how the pilots navigate the largest ships such as Virgin Voyages, Scarlet Lady and large container ships into the narrow confines of the commercial docks.

An enjoyable talk is anticipated with video footage from the bridges of ships as the Portsmouth pilotage is explained. 

The itinerary for the evening will be:

18:00 - 19:30  Galley and Bar open for food and drinks at members own cost.

19:30 - 21:00  "Portsmouth International Port" talk by Ben McInnes

18:00 - 23:00  Bar open throughout
