Southampton Rally to Shamrock Quay
It's been many years since we visited Shamrock Quay so we thought we'd go there this year. You'll often get up-close views of the big cruise liners or the steamship Shieldhall on your journey up Southampton Water. Lying upstream of the Itchen Bridge on the port hand side, Shamrock Quay has easy access and is only a couple of miles from the city centre. The Southampton Boat Show starts on Friday 15th so you could take the opportunity to visit this International Show.
They have a great range of facilities on site and a superb restaurant called The Bistro which we have booked for Saturday evening. We'll be holding a pontoon party before going over there early evening.
A lead boat will be available to help and advise. We will be using VHF Channel 77 as an inter-club frequency for the weekend although monitoring on Ch11 (Portsmouth Harbour) and Ch 12 (Southampton VTS) as appropriate together with Channel 16 is advised.
