Solent Tour 2026 - Monday 10th August: Newtown Creek

You will no doubt be aware that you cannot book a place here, there is no marina and the limited shore facilities are normally only accessible via your tender. That's the beauty of Newtown Creek; peaceful and serene and away from the noise and excitement! You have to just turn up and either tie up to a visitor's buoy or drop anchor. You are allowed to be two boats per buoy for overnight stays.  However, a good suggestion by the very helpful Harbour Master is to arrive early in the day and just wait until one of the boats slips its lines after breakfast. 

For our meal, we could eat at the New Inn, Shalfleet or on the boat(s).  Once people are booked, we will set up a WhatsApp group where we can discuss options based on the weather.  It may be a time to get the tender out and meet up on a boat or on the beach for a pontoon party - we can decide nearer the time.

A Rally Lead will be available to help with questions and bookings, and there are a number of other roles (see Duty Roster below) where we need volunteers to help make the rally more enjoyable.
