Solent Tour 2026 - Friday 14th August: West Cowes

For our next stop on the Solent Tour we are visiting West Cowes and will be berthing at Cowes Yacht Haven. After an early evening pontoon party we will probably be dining at one of the many good restaurants in the town (TBC) in the evening.

When approaching Cowes Yacht Haven please call them up on channel 80 and say that you are part of the Haslar Yacht Club rally to obtain your berthing instructions.

High water Portsmouth is 13:28 BST on 14th with HW Cowes at 12:55

A Rally Lead will be available to help with questions and bookings, and there are a number of other roles (see Duty Roster below) where we need volunteers to help make the rally more enjoyable. Please take a look and if you can help with a role just click on "Volunteer" or get in touch with events@haslaryachtclub.co.uk and we can explain more details.

We suggest monitoring on Ch11 (Portsmouth Harbour), Ch 12 (Southampton VTS) and Cowes Harbour Ch 69 as appropriate together with Channel 16.

DECLARATION BY YACHTS PARTICIPATING IN HYC EVENTS
Yachts taking part in events organised by Haslar Yacht Club do so on the understanding that they participate entirely at their own risk. The decision to set out or to continue to take part in an event is solely the responsibility of the skipper and crew who, understanding the risks, are responsible for their own safety both on the water and ashore.

Nothing in the notice of the event, the sailing instructions or elsewhere shall reduce that responsibility, neither will any actions or omissions of any Officers and members of HYC.

By taking part in the event, you declare that the boat and crew are fit for the conditions that they are likely to encounter., that you accept your responsibilities as outlined above, and that the boat is insured with cover of at least £2M against third party claims.
