Boating Basics for Crews

The first talk will be by Jonathan Clare aims to address a few of the basics that crew members can expect to perform and will try to cover Col Regs and navigation.  Brian Masters will then talk about what happens when things go wrong, including the use of the VHF radio.  There will be a chance to practice with the VHF radios afterwards.

The talks will take place in the conference room at the Haslar Marina office. Please use the entrance door at the back of the office building, on the path that leads down to the gate. Ask in the marina office if you need help.

Those attending can meet for drinks and / or a meal at The Creek beforehand and we are welcome to take our drinks over to the conference room for the talk.

The itinerary for the evening is:

18:00                  The Creek opens for drinks and meals at member's own cost

19:30 - 20:30      Talk in the conference room

20:30 - 21:00      Q & A 

18:00 - 23:00      The Creek bar open throughout evening
