HYC 2022 AGM

Haslar Yacht Club would like to welcome you to join your Committee at Hornet Services Sailing Club for our Annual General Meeting where you can hear how the year has progressed so far, elect your committee, hear about plans for the coming season and help establish the future direction of the club.

If you are interested in helping with the running of the club, please contact any existing committee member who will be delighted to talk you through the opportunities we have. We currently have an open vacancy for a Committee member which involves playing an active role in helping to run the Club and attend Committee meetings once a month. Amongst the many amazing benefits you will join an informal group of like-minded sailors and help keep the club on course for the next year!

As is customary, Haslar Yacht Club will provide a pre-AGM welcome drink starting at 18:30 and the meeting will start promptly at 19:00 in the Fabrosa Room and will last 30 to 60 minutes.  Once the meeting closes you will be able to purchase an evening meal in the bar.  It would be helpful to the staff if you would indicate your preferences when booking. This to allow The Hornet staff to plan correctly. The Hornet club bar will remain open for the rest of the evening.

Please park in the Haslar car park and walk over the bridge to Hornet Services Sailing Club where you will need to check in with security on the main gate. Please also ensure you have some kind of photo ID such as your driving licence should it be requested.

The itinerary:

• 18:30 Reception / Welcome Drink

• 19:00 Annual General Meeting starts

• 19:30-20:00 AGM closes

• 20:00 Pre-ordered meals available in the bar area.
  • You can put your request in as you book or come back later using the 'Update booking' blue button on the 'Portal-Bookings and Allocations' page.  The options are 'Fish & Chips' or 'Burger & Chips' at a cost of £7.50

• 23:00 Bar Closes

Club apparel including rugby shirts, polo shirts and burgees will be on sale and please bring cash if you intend to make a purchase.

Please note this is a members only event and all attendees must be registered by booking a place via our website in order gain access to the site. If you are aware of anyone who is intending to join the club and would like to come to this meeting please forward their details to a member of the committee.
