HYC 2024 AGM

Haslar Yacht Club would like to welcome you to join your Committee at Hornet Services Sailing Club for our very sociable Annual General Meeting where you can hear how the year has progressed, elect your committee, hear about plans for the coming season and help establish the future direction of the club.

If you are interested in helping with the running of the club, please contact any existing committee member who will be delighted to talk you through what that might involve. 

As is customary, Haslar Yacht Club will provide a pre-AGM welcome drink from 18:00.  For those who have said they want a meal after the meeting The Hornet have asked us to order and pay for these at the bar prior to the meeting. The meeting will start promptly at 19:00 in the Fabrosa Room and will last 45 to 60 minutes.  Once the meeting closes you will be able to enjoy your evening meal in the clubroom. The club bar will remain open for the rest of the evening.

Please park in the Haslar car park and walk over the bridge to Hornet Services Sailing Club where you will need to check in with Security on the main gate. Please also ensure you have some kind of photo ID such as your driving licence as it will be requested.

Once again, the RNLI will be in attendance before the meeting starts with Christmas Cards, 2025 diaries and calendars, and some other stocking fillers. This year they have a point of sale machine, so you can actually pay for them at the time! Please come prepared to support this essential service.

The itinerary for the evening is:

• 18:00 Reception / Welcome Drink.    Order and pay for your meals at the bar (if applicable). 

• 19:00 Annual General Meeting starts

• 19:30-20:00 AGM closes

• 20:00 Pre-ordered meals available in the bar area.  

• 23:00 Bar Closes

The AGM agenda with current committee nominations, along with the financial results for the year (when available) will be available on the website in due course.

Please note this is a members only event and all attendees must be registered by booking a place via our website in order gain access to the site. If you are aware of anyone who is intending to join the club and would like to come to this meeting please forward their details to a member of the committee.
