Due to the high winds being forecast for Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th May 2023 we have taken the decision to cancel this rally.

Our Spring Bank Holiday rally to Weymouth in May provides a good opportunity to explore areas outside the Solent and is ideal for those who like a challenge!

Members are encouraged to take one or two days to get there and the same to get back to turn it into an enjoyable mini-adventure and experience places outside of our usual Solent destinations. We can share ideas if you intend to 'break the journey' e.g. an overnight stay in Poole Harbour or Studland Bay on Saturday evening and perhaps meet up along the way.

At the request of the Weymouth Marina, members who wish to attend this rally should make their own bookings directly with Weymouth Marina, deciding on their own arrival and departure days. You can contact the marina on 01305 767576 or email weymouth@boatfolk.co.uk . The marina will take payment in full at the time of the booking in order to guarantee a suitable berth. If you find you cannot attend and you let the marina know within a reasonable time a credit will be issued and can be used at any boatfolk marina subject to availability. If the credit is not used you can request a refund at the end of the season. Those who choose to stay for 3 or more nights get a 10% discount and all boatfolk berth holders can use their 'cruising pass' for the duration of their stay for up to 30 nights. 

Dinner on Sunday evening will be at Oliveto. Now ensconced in the beautiful building that is the Old Pier Bandstand fronting Weymouth beach, formerly occupied by Al Molo and the original Pullingers, Oliveto is run by Alvise and Dominique, and a team excited to deliver the high expectations you have become accustomed to. The marina BBQ has been booked for Monday evening.

A lead boat will be available to help and advise. Passage plans will be discussed and shared for those who want this. There are lots of options for making the passage as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, whether you are a motor boat or sail, and however you wish to plan your journey. Previous rally-goers have enjoyed the journey across Bournemouth bay and along the Jurassic coast with its fine views.

Weymouth and Portland Bill have much to offer for this popular rally including walks, entertainment and of course shopping!
