Lymington Dan Bran Easter Holiday Rally, 3rd - 6th April 2026

For those who may not have visited this harbour and town you are in for a real treat. There is a large and bustling market on Saturdays, cobblestone streets and plenty of unique shops and pubs to explore and enjoy. 

This year we have again booked berths on the Dan Bran pontoon. We are blessed to be in one of the best boating locations in the UK, Lymington is a sailor's dream destination. On the western edge of the Solent, it is perfectly placed for all types of boating. There are so many places to explore, and all within easy reach. 

The estuary itself is always interesting with many boats enjoying this lovely location and the Isle Of Wight ferry to Yarmouth making its regular journeys.

Lymington Harbour will require all skippers to confirm their boats bookings by calling them on 01590 672014 or sending an email to info@lymingtonharbour.co.uk with all their details. They will require payments no later than 2 days before arrival to secure the bookings.

We are planning on having a group event on the Saturday - details have not been finalised yet so do check back later.

There will be pontoon parties on Friday and Saturday evenings subject to the weather of course and details of these will be made available nearer the time. Note we have not made any bookings for restaurants or pubs for Friday 3rd, the day of arrival.

We have booked  'The Angel and Blue Pig' pub for Saturday evening dinner at 19:00 and the Royal Lymington Yacht Club (RLymYC) for lunch at 13:00 on Easter Sunday, who will only be serving Sunday roast lunches. Both venues may require a deposit to be paid details of which will be advised nearer.  

HW Portsmouth is 13:10 BST on the Friday enabling a civilised start to an enjoyable long weekend.

A Rally Lead will be available to help with questions and bookings, and there are a number of other roles (see Duty Roster below) where we need volunteers to help make the rally more enjoyable. You should call on VHF Ch 80 on your approach to to Dan Bran to receive berthing instructions. We advise monitoring Ch11 (Portsmouth Harbour) and Ch 12 (Southampton VTS) together with Channel 16.

DECLARATION BY YACHTS PARTICIPATING IN HYC EVENTS
Yachts taking part in events organised by Haslar Yacht Club do so on the understanding that they participate entirely at their own risk. The decision to set out or to continue to take part in an event is solely the responsibility of the skipper and crew who, understanding the risks, are responsible for their own safety both on the water and ashore.

Nothing in the notice of the event, the sailing instructions or elsewhere shall reduce that responsibility, neither will any actions or omissions of any Officers and members of HYC.

By taking part in the event, you declare that the boat and crew are fit for the conditions that they are likely to encounter, that you accept your responsibilities as outlined above, and that the boat is insured with cover of at least £2M against third party claims.
