Volunteering
To volunteer for an event, login to the web site, then you will be taken to the portal page, where there is now a 'Volunteering' section. If you look at the Duty Roster section, you will see a list of upcoming events and roles.
On the right hand side, you will see a big blue 'Volunteer' button which, if you select, you can volunteer to help at that event.
For each event, we are looking for someone to take a few pictures and write up the event to put on our web site. These reports are often read by members and are a good advertisement of the club.
For rallies, we like to take along feathers and bases to put on the pontoon. We also take 'battle flags' and banners to put on our boats to advertise the club. Why not offer to take a box or even two?
If you like the social side of the club, why not offer to run the Pontoon party which means taking along a few bottles and providing a few nibbles, the cost of which is re-imbursed by the club.
If you are not sure what you have volunteered for, go to the 'Volunteering' section and look under 'My Duties'. You can even swap or transfer duties there! (We do send out reminders before the event.)
More details of these roles can be found in the 'Duty Roster' section or ask Jem Nicholls, myself or one of the committee if you want more details.
