Club Rules

In applying for membership of the HYC, I agree to abide by the Club Rules as set out below.

Data:

The information which you provide in this form and any other information obtained or provided during the course of your membership will be used solely for the purpose of processing your application and dealing with you as a member of Haslar Yacht Club. The data will be processed in accordance with our Data Processing Policy.

You are reminded that occasionally we take photos of our members and their boats during events for use on our website.

Declaration:

I acknowledge that I have read the Rules of Haslar Yacht Club and confirm my understanding and agree to the Rules, Plans, Policies and Processes that govern my membership of the club . Copies of these documents can be found on the web site in this section. I further acknowledge and accept responsibilities to ensure that members within my membership, and my guests, abide by these Rules, Plans, Policies and Processes.

Boat Owner

I acknowledge that it is up to me personally to assess whether any event or any activity on the water is too difficult for me, and whether or not my personal safety or that of my crew could be endangered. I acknowledge that the safety of my boat and her entire management including insurance is solely my responsibility, and I am satisfied the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of the event/activity.

Non Boat Owner

I acknowledge that it is up to me personally to assess whether any event or any activity on the water is too difficult for me, and whether or not my personal safety could be endangered. I am satisfied the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of the event/activity

All Members requirements

I/WE acknowledge that I/WE have sole responsibility for the supervision and safety of my/our children/wards at all times unless they are participating in training courses, which are officially recognised by HYC. I/We agree that the Club will not accept responsibility for my children/wards other than when participating in such training.

Events

I agree to abide by sailing instructions/voyage plans/racing rules that may be issued from time to time by the HYC.

I understand that failure to comply with these Rules or the HYC Constitution may lead to a member's suspension from the club.
