Well for once the weather was kind to us! An early start from Portsmouth found most of the nine attending boats tied up on the pontoon just up river from Bucklers Hard. For some people this was a regular stop, for others, the first time they'd ventured up the river.

Around 4.00 pm the pontoon party commenced, and shortly after, the cooking was underway on the back of Celeste, Tallulah and Chelsea Blues. A good variety of sausages emerged and various breads and salads mysteriously appeared on the pontoon tables!

Sunday dawned and, by midday, all the HYC boats has started their passage back. With HW timed perfectly, Celeste explored the upper reaches of the river before returning to Haslar.

A good mix of sailing and motor boats attended (about 50/50), the boat list was:
