Friday Evening Social on the Light Ship 25th April 2025

Thus far, The Haslar Yacht Club members have enjoyed an excellent start to 2025. With good attendance to the evening talks, and two brilliant rallies to East Cowes and Lymington.
Little wonder that the first Friday evening social of the year proved to be very popular. With a slightly different format from last year, we just about filled the Light Ship. With thirty attendees enjoying each other's company either in the fresh air on deck or inside. All sharing the nibbles platters (paid for by your club) prepared for us as they drank. Twenty-two of our number had booked a meal in the Light Ship, to follow the drinks social to make a full evening out.
Feedback on the nibbles was good, and the meals were excellent, with friendly good service. Our appreciation goes to Maria and Lou for their help, and of course to all who came.
In summary, an excellent evening, enjoyed by all. And a successful union of the Light Ship and HYC.
For your diaries, our socials are planned for the last Friday in each month throughout the Summer.
