HYC Quiz Time - Friday 14th January 2022

The new year and yachting season kicked off with a challenging but fun quiz evening over Zoom.
24 gallant quizzers joined in for a chat , the odd glass of wine except for those braving a dry January- and 6 rounds of questions, spot the locations from photos and a particularly challenging lat/long round.
Hats off to the Velzians who romped away with an impressive score of 53, but then their team of 4 looked more like a line up from University Challenge ;). Just kidding, very well done!
The creativity prize went to Arvid who managed to sport 10 different hats at once, and some very amusing answers!
Well done to Trudi and Jem for the entertaining questions, from music, film, famous landmarks and the obligatory sailing ones which proved to be a useful refresher on wind speeds, fog and forecasts! I for one learnt that Ancraophobia is the fear of wind.
