Gins Farm Rally 14/15th September 2019

10 boats from Haslar Yacht Club made the long and arduous (!) trip to the lovely Beaulieu River for the weekend of the 14th/15th September. Most of the boats arrived through the early part of the day on the Saturday, with Magenta having arrived on the Friday. The Royal Southampton Bosun did a great job of accommodating all the Haslar yachts, bar one, on

  • Gins Farm Rally, 11th July 2015

Six boats arrived at Gins Farm on the Beaulieu River for the 2015 visit, but unfortunately for various reasons four boats originally booked were unable to make it. Brian Dunton, who had done all the hard work of organising the rally for us, could not come because Dawne was poorly. The weather was not entirely kind, as the forecast pleasant weather failed to materialise. Instead, there was a brisk F4 to F5 westerly while the

  • Gins Farm Rally 25-26 May 2013

This was our first rally to Gins Farm, just a short way up the Beaulieu River. Chris and Pat Porter on board Yasmine had braved the Friday weather to form the advanced guard on the rally.

    Beaulieu Rally - September 29th/30th 2012

Once again the weather gods smiled kindly down on us. With a brisk NW/SW wind on the Saturday and an increasing W/NW wind for the return on the Sunday, some spririted sailing was enjoyed by the 7 yachts. These were joined by 6 motor boats giving us our usual near perfect 50/50 split of power and sail. Boat Skipper & Crew

  • Beaulieu Rally September 2011

Well, organised we may have been but nobody could have predicted the fabulous weather that greeted our arrival at Bucklers Hard. We tied up on the mid river pontoon just upstream of the marina and settled down to enjoy the sun. In total we had eight boats with the usual 50/50 split of sail and power. Vessels were: Sail - Sentosa, Kraken, Kiskadee & Disarray Power -

    Beaulieu - Sep 2010

Beaulieu Rally 18th - 19th September 2010 Well for once the weather was kind to us! An early start from Portsmouth found most of the nine attending boats tied up on the pontoon just up river from Bucklers Hard. For some people this was a regular stop, for others, the first time they'd ventured up the river. Around 4.00 pm
